SSA Appoints Gary Tan As National Head Coach

After conducting a comprehensive search, the Singapore Swimming Association (SSA) today announced that incumbent National Training Centre (NTC) Head Coach Gary Tan has been appointed Singapore’s National Swimming Head Coach. Ashley Lim Rewrites Own National Record, Books Ticket to Abu Dhabi

Records continue to tumble at short course championships

A host of long-standing records were toppled on Friday, the second day of competition of the 9th Singapore National Swimming Championships (Short Course Meters) at the OCBC Aquatic Centre.     Teong Tzen Wei, who had set two national short course records on Thursday, carried on from where he left off in the morning heats when he smashed the time of 50.84s set in 2015 by Quah Zheng Wen in the Men’s 100m Butterfly, with a blistering swim and a new record time of 50.35s.   The 24-year-old then created a slice of history in the evening finals… See more

Quah Jing Wen shines in first local competition on return from USA

Stephan Widmer departs SSA early

The Singapore Swimming Association (SSA) today announced that national swimming head coach and performance director, Stephan Widmer and SSA have mutually agreed to terminate his contract as of 17 October 2021.   Widmer had gone on overseas leave before the Tokyo Olympics opened on July 23 and was due to return to Singapore in mid-October. However, he has not flown back to Singapore from China as of Monday.
