Ting Wen misses out on 100m Freestyle Semi-Finals at Tokyo 2020
National swimmer Quah Ting Wen was the last of the swimming Olympians to hit the pool in the Tokyo Aquatics Centre at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics when she swam in the Women's 100m Freestyle heats on Wednesday, 28 July.
Swimming in heat 4, the National Record holder and third-time Olympian clocked a time of 56.36s, to finish 8th in her heat. Her timing saw her place 36 out of 51 swimmers overall.
It was valiant effort by Ting Wen, who was swimming the 100m Freestyle for only the second time at the Olympics, with the first being on her debut at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Her final event will be the 50m Freestyle on Friday, 30 July.
